Why go Mobile?

Simple – it’s convenient. We live in an “I want it now society” and Mobile Marketing scratches that instant gratification itch. We want what we want and we want it now. Mobile Marketing gives it to us. When we leave our homes today, the three most important things we make certain to have are keys, wallet/purse and cell phone. Cell phones have become an extension of our beings – why not take advantage of that? Here’s a little more incentive to jump on this while you still can: 1.All text message have an open rate of 97% (and within a 5-minute time period); 2.The world’s population exceeds 6.8 billion people, and nearly one person in three surfs online; 3.1 in 3 smartphone users open and app before they get out of bed; 4.Your cell phone/smartphone is within 3 feet of you over 90% of the day; 5. Mobile search numbers are up six times then over the previous 2 years; 6.16.7 Million U.S. mobile users, or 7.1% of the total, used location-based check-in services in March; 7.App Downloads are predicted to hit 44 billion by 2016; 8.65% use their smartphones for non-voice purposes in the early evening; 9.Facebook and Twitter accounts for approximately half of smartphone usage at any given time of the day, though late evening is most popular, with 34% connecting through social media then. Internet users are fast becoming dependent on “all things being mobile” to serve their needs. Mobile marketing is a brave new world, daring to take businesses where they have never been before. If you don’t have a strategy, chances are you’re going to end up lost in the shuffle or left behind, like many were when the Internet was born.
